September Winners & Farewell

After 6 1/2 years, CAS Mix Up is closing permanently.  

Thank you to all that played along with us.  It's been a joy to visit your blogs throughout the years.  All of us at CAS Mix Up have enjoyed seeing your creative cards using all different mixed media techniques.

Thanks to everyone who took part in our September challenge to use gesso with your stencils. I just loved seeing and visiting all the examples, I have learnt some more things about using gesso in the process. The hardest thing about being challenge host is choosing the winner and top picks, but a decision had to be made.

The embossing paste waves set the scene for the ocean themed card.

CAS Mix Up November Stencil Monthly Picks

 

Thanks to all who played along with our final challenge for 2021.

We have enjoyed so many wonderful challenges from our Designers this year,

many of which are techniques that a lot of us are trying for the first time.

It's been fun, creative, and has helped to stretch the use of our supplies in ways

we hadn't thought of before.

Our Winner for November's Challenge

Julie (Blackberry Design Studio)

Julie made a variety of stencil monoprints before turning them

into three fantastic cards.

The monoprints were used as both die-cuts and backgrounds for die-cuts,

showing that less is more.

This CAS design stole my heart.

I just loved how clever the cup design was with the tree monoprint,

and tea bag hanging over the side.
